Coronavirus cases are increasing at a rapid rate day by day in India. The virus is developing a sense of fear amongst people.

Coronavirus cases have crossed 450 in the country as of 23rd March 2020. The effect of coronavirus is adverse at a rate where even after Janta curfew more than 100 cases have been reported within 24 hours. Maharashtra let alone has 15 new cases and the cumulative figure of the State has reached 89.

The thing that is making the situation worse and creating panic in people are the rumors spreading through Social Media about the Virus. Many people have stopped taking newspapers due to fear of Coronavirus. Amidst all these, people are getting skeptical about purchasing basic necessities. Let us tell you not to get panic about Coronavirus but to be cautious at your own level and perform basic hygiene level addressed by Doctors.
According to Doctors, newspapers do not pose a significant threat to coronavirus. No such research has come so far proving that coronavirus can be spread by newspapers.

As per the World Health Organisation, it is safe to receive packages or things that are moved, traveled, or exposed to various conditions. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also claim that it is highly unlikely that Coronavirus could spread through the give and take of newspapers. This can lead to the assumption that newspapers cannot carry the virus across different people.

The study also found that the virus survives longer on cardboard for up to 24 hours. On plastic and stainless-steel surfaces, it can last up to 2-3 days. Door handles, plastic-coated, laminated materials, and hard surfaces might allow the virus to last longer. Copper surfaces, on the other hand, kill the virus in four hours.

From all the cases of coronavirus that have been reported so far, it is also clear that the virus is spread mostly by direct contact with an infected person. People are being made aware of it by the Government of India, many steps have also been taken to prevent it from spreading.
