Sikkim population according to Indian and international system

Sikkim is the second smallest state of India located in the north-eastern parts of the country in the eastern Himalayas. Capital fs Sikkim is Gangtok, in the south-east part of the state. It is special because it boards the Tibet Autonomous region, Bhutan, Nepal, west Bengal that means it different places from all four directions. As we can see this unique division of this place it is obvious that every one will have different assumptions for the population of this place.

Likewise, we can check if there is any difference in the information of population of Sikkim provided by Indian system and International system also. When we studied thoroughly and tried to get the information about the population of Sikkim provided by both Indian and international system, we got to know that there is no such difference in the data.

According to the data provided by the Indian system as per the last Census 2011, Sikkim has a population of 6.11 Lakhs, an increased number as compared to the 2001 Census which was 5.41 Lakhs. The total population according to the 2011 Census is 610,577 of which 323,070 were male and 287,509 were female respectively. The population growth rate is one of the factors indicating population status as we can see that there is an increase in the population in this particular decade from 2001-2011. The same information or say data is followed in the international system also. Thus considered as there is no mistake in the data as it is the same ever when we compare it from different areas.
