Israel-Palestine conflict once again
As we all can witness that from few days again after so long a very dangerous and harmful conflict taking place between Israel and Palestine in which within two days more than 40 people are dead including more than 10 children. And this topic is so controversial that the whole world is divided into two parts either to support Israel or Palestine, including India. People are discussing and giving their suggestions but they are not at all thinking about the impact of this harmful conflict on the people living there, not all of them are terrorists there are many innocents losing their lives for nothing.
As we can see that the distribution of land between Israel and Palestine is very confusing as both the countries are settled in very small parts making it more obvious to have conflicts. But the main reason for the conflict is ego clashes as no one needs to compromise. All three Palestine, Israel, and Gaza strip which is occupied by Hamas (militant group/political party/terrorists) are not ready to make peace. Palestine is not allowed to keep weapons or other things so they use stones but that’s not a huge problem but Hamas and Israel often launch rockets against each other which sometimes destroys people’s lives. But it is a relief that the Israeli military has an iron doom that saves them from most of the Hamas attacks and acts as a protector otherwise many innocents people die in these attacks.
It can be said that the current issue is started with the Sheik Jarrah event. It is a neighborhood in east Jerusalem where many Palestinian families were ordered to leave their houses. Some extremist right-wing jews started rallies with slogans of “death to Arabs” which resulted in oil in fire and provoked fights between Jews and Arab Muslim communities. Due to this on 7th may’2021 riots took pace with stone fights and Israeli police tried to control it and increased the tension. Then on 10th May ’2021, the Israeli police entered Al Aqsa mosque and fired rubber bullets and thrown stun grenades on Palestinians who came to worship and justified by saying that they got to know that some Palestinians are having stones and will throw them on the people present in rallies. After listening to this, Hamas gave an ultimatum to the Israeli government to remove police from mosque or attack. But nothing happens and Hamas launched many rockets on the cities of Israel to which Israel also counterattacked which resulted in this much violence.
But with all this violence they forgot that they are compromising with lives of innocent people. Mahatma Gandhi once said that “an eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind”. In this situation, this quote given by him is perfectly making sense. They are not understanding that violence against violence is never a solution to any problem but is destruction to it making things and situations worse than before.
